“I See” taken in Zanzibar. People yearn for the simple life, and although simple can be incredibly tough, I look at this image and think to myself that perhaps we do have it all wrong, that we chase this dream of staring at the ocean, but in that chase forget you we are and never …
The Prophet There is nothing like shooting on film. Period. I took this image on the Highlands in Lesotho. I came 2 individuals who were tending a few head of cattle. They posed willingly, the one, even stripping off to his underpants for whatever reason. However, this image, captured something that was just uniquely ethereal …

Stairway to Heaven, a continuation of the the song-naming series. This photo was taken at in The Vatican so a very apt title and many thanks to Doreen of The Cow Artworks who suggested the name and sparked my creativity by associating some of my work with song names.
Gendarmes I – a night shot of a traffic cop directing at a busy intersection. Shooting lower than normal, the mastery of directing traffic which seemed to be coming from all directions was just majestic. I decided to do a reversal (a further experiment along the Reflection of One series www.reflectionofone.com) and also from one …
“On the Road Again” Taken after a long road trip, this image has been archived for many years. Looking at it recently, it came to life and the print you now see captures a mood that speaks volumes.
Speed. This image I believe, captures the tradition of this vintage BMW 2-seater, maybe the first Z series?
Eye. Whenever I look at this image it always reminds for Alan Parson’s “Eye in the Sky” lyrics. With an effect applied to create this image, the series marks my fascination with people’s eyes. The original “Eye” image was taken many years ago culminating in this print.
A Horse with No Name. Originally shot in colour, I applied a solarization effect onto the final image resulting in a stunning simple image of a wild horse in a desolate landscape, but who blends so well within that environment. I started a new naming convention a few months ago, to name some new work …
” M Gate : just a perfect magical moment on a country road.
I need to answer that question with a question: how much do I want to digitally manipulate an image? It’s all relevant. I still on the odd occasions shoot on film, however, I can’t remember when last I actually printed an image in a darkroom. Until a few years ago I was still pulling my …
Fishermen at Full Moon was a difficult shot. Taken as full moon was on the ascent, you can see that the ships in the background have already switched on their night lights. Shot with the available light (moonlight), the fishermen were not moving around a lot.
After the Show. Iconic. This image was captured after a drag show. One of the artiste was chilling. This is the only of my images that has won anything (not that I am a great competition submitter), but it won an Honorable Mention in the Nikon Photo Awards.
A night on the street. Taken during one of my street blitzes. I came across a group of homeless vagrants (can vagrants not be homeless?). Classified as street photography, I managed to mess up the processing of the film (not the first and certainly not the last). If I recall correctly I thought I was …
